Lecture Title: Scattering of the Focusing Energy-Critical NLS on Waveguide Manifold
Speaker: Dr. Luo Yongming (Associate Professor, Shenzhen MSU-BIT University)
Date & Time: 2:30–3:30 PM, March 31, 2025
Venue: Huiwen Building Room 2438, Shenzhen University
Abstract: In this talk, we introduce how the framework of the semiviral-vanishing geometry can be applied for the focusing energy-critical nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) model on waveguide manifolds to establish large data scattering results. Notably, we reveal that although the semiviral-vanishing geometry appears energy-subcritical at first glance, it inherently encodes all essential energy-critical features, such as the Aubin-Talenti bubble solution.
Biography: Dr. Luo Yongming is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computational Mathematics and Control at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University. His research focuses on the long-time asymptotic behavior of scattering equations, with publications in academic journals such as JFA, Math. Ann., and J. Geom. Anal.
