(Series Report for High-Level University Construction No. 1233)

Title: New pair correlation estimates for the zeros of the Riemann zeta function

Speaker: Lecturer Yang Qiyu (Henan Normal University)

Time: 10:00–11:00, November 22, 2025 (Saturday)

Location: Room 2433, Huiwen Building

Abstract:

Assuming the Riemann Hypothesis and the strong form of the Twin Prime Conjecture, we employ Montgomery's pair correlation method to obtain new results on the zeros of the Riemann zeta function through the construction of extremal functions.

Speaker Biography:

Yang Qiyu received his Ph.D. in August 2022 from Macau University of Science and Technology under the supervision of Associate Professor Xiao Xuanxuan. He joined the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Henan Normal University in October 2022. His research focuses on the analytic theory of the Riemann zeta function and automorphic L-functions. He has published six SCI-indexed papers in international journals such as Journal of Number Theory, Ramanujan Journal, and Bulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society. He currently presides over a Youth Program of the Natural Science Foundation of Henan Province.

All faculty and students are welcome!
