Title:An introduction to association schemes
Speaker:Professor Kaishun Wang(Beijing Normal University)
Time:15:00-16:00, Dec.5, 2025
Location:Tencent Meeting(Number:226-277-068)
Abstract:Association schemes are important and interesting mathematical objects. In this talk, I shall give a preliminary introduction to association schemes including distance-regular graphs and their directed version. In particular, a detailed overview of weakly distance-regular digraphs will be presented.
Speaker Profile:Kaishun Wang , Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Beijing Normal University. His research focuses on algebraic combinatorics and extremal combinatorics, with findings published in journals including Journal of Combinatorial Theory Series A, SIAM Journal on Discrete Mathematics, and Science China Mathematics. He has led multiple National Natural Science Foundation projects, was selected for the Ministry of Education's New Century Excellent Talents Support Program in 2008, and received the Second Prize of the Ministry of Education's Natural Science Award in 2010 (as the third contributor). He currently serves as Dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences at Beijing Normal University and as an Executive Council Member of the Chinese Mathematical Society.
Faculty and students are welcome to attend!
