Title:Some results on Brualdi-Hoffman-Turan problem
Speaker:Professor Xiying Yuan(Shanghai University)
Time:14:00-15:00, Dec.8, 2025
Location:Tencent Meeting(Number:869-179-368)
Abstract:A graph is H-free if it does not contain H as a subgraph. Brualdi-Hoffman-Turan problem seeks to determine the maximum spectral radius of H-free graphs with given size. In this talk, some related results will be summarized and the results on chord cycle (or called theta graph) will be introduced.
Speaker Profile:Xiying Yuan, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the Department of Mathematics, Shanghai University. Member of the Fourth and Fifth Councils of the Combinatorics and Graph Theory Branch of the Chinese Operations Research Society. Primarily engaged in research on graph and hypergraph theory. Graduated from Tongji University in 2008, with his doctoral dissertation “Eigenvalues of Graphs” awarded the Shanghai Outstanding Graduate Research Achievement (Thesis). Has successively presided over four National Natural Science Foundation of China projects.
Faculty and students are welcome to attend!
