Promotion of Fuzzy multivariate statistical models and their progress.

Speaker ProfileBingyuan Cao, Professor of Mathematics and Statistics, PhD Supervisor. Former Senior Title Evaluator for the Ministry of Electric Power Industry; Former Head of the Mathematics Department at Shantou University; Former Discipline Leader for Applied Mathematics under the university's “211 Project.” Founder and former President of the Fuzzy Information and Engineering Branch of the Chinese Operations Research Society and the Guangdong Operations Research Society. Discipline Leader for the Operations Research and Control PhD program at Guangzhou University. Lingnan Distinguished Professor at Foshan University; Dean of the School of Finance and Economics at Guangzhou University of Science and Technology. Fellow of the German Society for Mathematics and Mechanics and the New York Academy of Sciences; Founder and President of the International Association for Fuzzy Information and Engineering and the China Education Research Foundation; President of the China Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Operations Research Society. Permanent Editor-in-Chief of the Tsinghua University-IEEE ESCI journal Fuzzy Information and Engineering and Editor-in-Chief of two other journals; Editorial Board Member for six international journals. Founder and President of China Science and Education Press; Executive Vice Chairman of the Guangdong Provincial University Deans Forum. Internationally pioneered Fuzzy Geometric Programming and the seventh algorithm for global optimization. Published nearly 200 academic papers, including approximately 90 in TOP journals and those indexed by the three major international databases. Authored, edited, or compiled over 30 monographs, textbooks, and conference proceedings. Fuzzy Geometric Programming was evaluated by Academicians Liu Yingming, Wang Zikun, and Guo Bailing as representing international cutting-edge advancement, with certain aspects reaching world-leading standards. He has led three National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, participated in two others, and is currently leading a China-Brazil National Natural Science Foundation international collaboration project. He has chaired or served as executive chair for nine international conferences and chaired over ten domestic conferences. His textbooks and monographs have been recognized as the world's most popular textbooks by Springer Publishing and received the Iranian Academic Monograph Award. Achievements include three provincial/ministerial awards (including Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award) and two ICFIE International Achievement Awards. Ranked fifth in Elsevier SciVal's 2021 Top 100 Global Optimization Researchers. The international journal he edits received the ICFIE Gold Award. With over 40 years of university teaching experience, he received the Zeng Xianzi Education Fund Outstanding Teacher Award from the Ministry of Education for national higher normal institutions; He has been recognized as an Outstanding Party Member at both provincial and municipal levels in Guangdong. He has mentored 9 doctoral (and postdoctoral) students (including Guangzhou University's first two Iranian doctoral students), one visiting scholar from abroad, and over 20 master's students, earning the Guangzhou Municipal Government Lifetime Achievement Award in Education. His major accomplishments have been featured twice in the World Who's Who and the People's Pictorial's Century Collector's Edition: “Republic Experts Achievement Panorama.”
