Abstract：We will discuss some concepts related to homomorphisms of groups and how they connect to geometry and topology. Then we will  talk about some recent development related to these concepts.

Speaker Profile：Hao Liang graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is currently a junior researcher at the School of Mathematics, Foshan University. His research focuses on geometric group theory. His related research work has been published in journals such as Geometric and Functional Analysis and the Journal of the London Mathematical Society.
