Title:Zero density estimates for L-functions near the line Re s=1

Speaker:Professor Hengcai Tang (Henan University)

Time:10:00-11:00, Feb. 8, 2026

Location:Huiwen Building 2433

Abstract:In this report, we consider the zero density estimates of the large sieve type for the automorphic L-function near the line Re s=1, which improves the previous result.

Speaker Profile:Hengcai Tang is a Distinguished Professor and doctoral advisor at Henan University, as well as the Associate Dean of the School of Mathematics and Statistics. He has been recognized as a Henan Provincial Outstanding Young Scholar, a Young Backbone Teacher in Henan’s Higher Education Institutions, and an Outstanding Teacher of Kaifeng City. His research focuses primarily on the distribution of prime numbers and L-functions. He has led three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (one General Program grant, one Young Scientist grant, and one Tianyuan grant), received a Third Prize in the Henan Provincial Natural Science Award, and published over 20 academic papers. He has also conducted visiting research at the University of Lorraine in France and the University of Hong Kong.
