Title:Energy cascade for nonlinear waves
Speaker:Shijie Dong, Assistant Professor (Southern University of Science and Technology)
Time:11:00-12:00, Apr. 2, 2026
Location:Room 1420, Huiwen Building
Abstract:I will present some recent results on the energy cascade phenomenon for nonlinear waves from high to low frequencies.
Speaker Profile:Shijie Dong is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Southern University of Science and Technology. He received his bachelor’s degree from Ocean University of China in 2014, his master’s degree from Yonsei University in South Korea in 2017, and his Ph.D. from the LJLL Laboratory at the Sorbonne University in France in 2019. From 2020 to 2022, he conducted postdoctoral research at Fudan University. His primary research interests include nonlinear hyperbolic partial differential equations and general relativity. His research papers have been published in mathematical journals such as Comm. Math. Phys., JFA, and SIMA.
Faculty and students are welcome to attend!
