报告内容:Many methods have been proposed for surface reconstruction, most of which involve fundamental principles of Shape and Structure. However, a majority of the methods just generate discrete surface model of face. How to improve the 3D surface reconstruction with PIE (poses, illuminations, expressions) factors in one model is an interesting and challenging issue. In this lecture, both 3D freeform surface reconstruction and articulated 3D skeleton sequences recognition are introduced. Synthetic samples, LFW, CMU motion capture dataset and Berkeley MHAD dataset are introduced and conducted to verify the proposed approach, and the experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness with different poses, illuminations, expressions etc.

 

报告人简历XU Chao received his Ph.D. at School of Computer Science and Technology, Tianjin University. He is now an Associate Professor in School of Computer Software, Tianjin University. He is working as Research Associate in Department of Computing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, currently. His research interests lie in Affective Computing, Proactive Computing and Knowledge Management. He has engaged in researches supported by a grant from National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published more than 30 papers.

徐超老师毕业于天津大学计算机科学与技术学院,获工学博士学位,现为天津大学软件学院副教授、香港理工大学计算机系高级访问学者,主要研究方向包括:情感计算、预发式计算与知识管理等,主持国家自然科学基金一项,在相关领域发表学术论文30余篇。
