报告题目: Modeling and mathematical analysis on a compressible Oldroyd-B model

报告内容: I will summarize my recent studies on a compressible Oldroyd-B model: derivation of the model and mathematical analysis on the model. The model can be derived as a macroscopic closure of the compressible Navier-Stokes-Fokker-Planck equations. We show the existence of large global weak solutions and the weak–strong uniqueness in 2D setting. Note that extra stress diffusion is presenting in the model which has a very small prefactor. Without the presence of this stress diffusion, we show the existence of large global weak solutions to a simplified model. The collaborators include J. W. Barrett, E. Suli, Z. Zhang, M. Pokorny.
报告人简历:吕勇,南京大学数学系教授,本科毕业于中国科技大学数学系,在法国巴黎七大取得硕士和博士学位,之后再布拉格查理大学从事博士后研究。主要研究领域是偏微分方程的数学分析,侧重在数学几何光学以及数学流体力学两个方向,主要研究成果发表在Archive for Rational Mechanics and Analysis, Memoires de la Societe Mathematique de France, SIAM, Journal on Mathematical Analysis, Calculus of Variations and Partial Differential Equations ,ESAIM等。
