On the morning of October 16, 2025, the School of Mathematical Sciences held the 2026 Graduates Employment Mobilization Conference in Lecture Hall 3 of Huixing Building. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the School, Deputy Party Secretary Ye Xing, Ms. Chen Ying from the University Career Guidance Center, Mr. Zhu Lijun from the Armed Forces Department, counselors for graduating classes, and all undergraduate and postgraduate graduates. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Party Secretary Ye Xing.

At the meeting, Counselor Han Fangdan first introduced the employment situation of the 2025 graduates and, through analysis of survey data, pointed out the current status of graduates in terms of employment intentions and main concerns. She stated that the School would provide services such as resume guidance, career planning, and psychological support to graduates through information-sharing platforms and the counselor team.

Deputy Party Secretary Ye Xing summarized the achievements of the 2025 employment work and outlined the arrangements for the 2026 employment cycle. He emphasized that the School would mobilize all staff, conduct multiple rounds of online employment surveys, broaden channels to collect job requirements from employers, and promptly forward recruitment information and news. He pledged to utilize all available resources to recommend and assist graduates in securing employment steadily and proactively. He expressed his hope that all graduates would use their final university stage to identify and address gaps, adopt a correct attitude towards employment, and conduct scientific self-positioning. He encouraged them to gain experience from the various sharing sessions organized by the School, covering further studies domestically and abroad, civil service exams, public institution recruitment, entrepreneurship, interviews, and resume writing. These sessions aim to broaden employment perspectives, boost confidence, and enhance job-hunting skills. Taking the mobilization conference as a starting point, he urged graduates to take active steps in preparing for employment or further studies, to embark on a bright new chapter in their lives, and to contribute to their families and society.

In his speech, the Dean emphasized that mathematics is not only a fundamental discipline but also a "golden discipline" driving technological revolution and high-quality development. He urged all graduates to build solid confidence in their discipline and transform their theoretical strengths into competitive edges in the job market. To effectively support student employment, the School will focus on three key measures: deepening industry-university cooperation to expand high-quality job opportunities, strengthening career guidance to enhance job-hunting capabilities, and implementing categorized guidance to promote diverse development paths. He set forth four expectations for the graduates: understand the current employment landscape and maintain a realistic mindset; define career goals clearly and position themselves accurately; proactively seize opportunities and actively apply and interview; and engage in continuous learning to develop versatile skills. The Dean concluded by encouraging the students, assuring them that the School would fully support every graduate. He hopes everyone meets workplace challenges well-prepared and embarks on a brilliant career journey.

Ms. Chen Ying analyzed the current employment situation, pointing out the strong demand for talent in emerging fields and encouraging students to seize on-campus recruitment opportunities. She also reminded students to pay attention to contract details and be aware of potential job scams, advising them to make good use of various employment platform resources and plan their future development with a rational and pragmatic attitude.

Mr. Zhu Lijun provided a detailed interpretation of the 2025 conscription policy, explaining the batch arrangements, registration requirements, and procedures for conscription in the first and second halves of the year. He highlighted the preferential policies available to graduates and encouraged interested students to grasp the opportunity to serve in the military and realize their personal value.

This mobilization conference systematically and comprehensively deployed the employment work for the 2026 graduates of the School. It not only provided clear direction for the students but also significantly boosted their employment confidence. Attending students unanimously expressed that they would actively respond to the School's call, accurately position themselves, take proactive steps, and face the challenges of job hunting with their best efforts to achieve a brilliant future of their own.
