Dean Li Jing of the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Changsha University of Science and Technology and his delegation visited our school for research and exchange.

On the morning of January 6, a five-member delegation led by Dean Li Jing from the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Changsha University of Science and Technology visited our school for research and exchange. The meeting was held in Room 2331 of Huiwen Building, where both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on doctoral program development, disciplinary advancement, talent cultivation, research team building, and student affairs. The exchange was attended by the leadership team of Shenzhen University's School of Mathematical Sciences, including its Dean.

The Dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences at Shenzhen University extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Changsha University of Science and Technology. He provided a detailed overview of the school's development history and current status, systematically introducing its historical evolution, disciplinary rankings, faculty composition, research teams, scientific development, and talent cultivation. This presentation showcased the achievements attained during the school's construction process.

Li Jing, Dean of the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Changsha University of Science and Technology, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and highly commended the School of Mathematical Sciences' accomplishments in discipline development, scientific innovation, and talent cultivation. She briefly introduced the current status and distinctive features of Changsha University of Science and Technology's School of Mathematics and Statistics. She expressed hope that through this exchange, her institution could learn from Shenzhen University's advanced experience in doctoral program application and development, cultivation of high-level research teams, and organization and management of student competitions, thereby propelling the School's discipline development and talent cultivation to new heights.

Subsequently, both parties engaged in discussions on key issues concerning doctoral program development, including faculty structure, research accumulation, and application procedures. They also exchanged views on student affairs topics such as ideological and political education, academic competition organization, and graduate employment guidance. This research visit not only deepened mutual understanding between the two universities' mathematics disciplines but also laid a solid foundation for future collaboration. Both parties expressed their commitment to leveraging this exchange as an opportunity to further strengthen collaboration in research partnerships, faculty exchanges, and joint student training programs, jointly advancing the high-quality development of the mathematics discipline.
