On the afternoon of January 22, the School of Mathematical Sciences held its 2025 Annual Commendation Ceremony in Lecture Hall 3 of Huixing Building. Centered on the theme “Gratitude for You” from the “Heartwarming Workshop” series, the event honored outstanding groups and individuals across various domains over the past year. All school leaders and faculty members attended, with Xing Ye, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee, presiding over the proceedings.

Xing Ye briefly reviewed the School's achievements in 2025, noting that the theme “Gratitude for You” embodies the warmth and spirit of the Party Committee's “Heartwarming Workshop” initiative. He expressed hope that all faculty members would remain committed to their educational mission, work together, and advance the School's endeavors to new heights.

During the awards ceremony, Yu Wang, Secretary of the College Party Committee, along with Vice Deans Jian Lu, Yu Han, and Yaohua Hu, presented certificates to the honored advanced collectives and outstanding individuals.

In his concluding remarks, the Dean reviewed the college's progress in 2025 across Party-building leadership, discipline development, talent cultivation, scientific innovation, student affairs, and internationalization. He also outlined the annual assessment results. Looking ahead to 2026, the college will continue focusing on the objectives of the 15th Five-Year Plan, concentrating on key tasks such as enhancing disciplinary substance, attracting and nurturing talent, improving teaching quality, achieving scientific breakthroughs, and strengthening international cooperation. He called for uniting the entire college to drive high-quality development. He called upon all faculty and students to emulate the honorees, uphold a pragmatic and innovative spirit, integrate personal growth with the school's development, and collectively contribute to advancing the school's progress and serving national strategies. He also extended early wishes for a joyful holiday season and a happy new year.
