The field of mathematical mechanization pioneered by Mr. Wu Wenjun, a renowned Chinese mathematician and recipient of the first National Top Science and Technology Award, has had a profound impact on mathematical and computer science research. To recognize outstanding young scholars in the field of computational mathematics and to promote the development of mathematical mechanization as advocated by Mr. Wu Wenjun, the Institute of Systems Science at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, established the “Wu Wenjun Young Scholar Award in Computational Mathematics” and entrusted the Computational Mathematics Committee of the Chinese Mathematical Society with the responsibility of conducting the award selection process.

Li Nan, a tenured associate professor and doctoral advisor at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Shenzhen University, and a Guangdong Provincial High-Level Talent, specializes in research on symbolic-numerical hybrid computation and its applications. He has published over 20 papers in international academic journals such as Math. Comput., SIAM J. Numer. Anal., J. Symb. Comput., IEEE Trans. Image Process., and IEEE Trans. Multimedia.
