Li Yuan Scholars Colloquium No. 138
Lecture Title: Stability Analysis of the Prandtl Boundary Layer
Speaker: Prof. Yaguang Wang (Chair Professor, School of Mathematical Sciences, Shanghai Jiao Tong University)
Date & Time: July 4, 2025, 10:30–11:30 AM
Venue: Room 1, Huijing Building, Yuehai Campus, Shenzhen University
Abstract: In this lecture, we will analyze the mathematical theory of stability, instability, singularity formation, and reverse flow in the Prandtl boundary layer of fluid mechanics. Additionally, we will discuss the effects of geophysical factors such as the Coriolis force and stochastic external forces on the behavior of the boundary layer .
