School of Mathematical Sciences Academic Lecture [2025] No. 077
(High-level University Construction Series Lecture No. 1099)
Lecture Title: Divisor functions and GCD-sums
Lecturer: Bin Wei (Tianjin Polytechnic University)
Lecture Time: August 27, 2025, 9:30–10:10
Venue: Room 2433, Huiwen Building
Abstract:In this talk, we will focus on the mean values of divisor functions and sums of the greatest common divisors (GCD-sums). Our discussion encompasses various generalizations of these concepts, with detailed analysis of the main term and error term for each type. We explore these topics through multiple methodological approaches, ranging from elementary methods and basic analytic number theory to more advanced techniques such as the Selberg-Delange methods.
Lecturer's Biography:Bin Wei is a Lecturer at Tianjin Polytechnic University. He received his Ph.D. in 2016 from Shandong University and has conducted academic visits at the University of Bristol (UK) and Paris-East University (France). His research focuses on number theory, including topics such as prime towers, automorphic forms, and combinatorial partitions. He has published multiple papers in journals such as Proceedings of the London Mathematical Society and Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society.
All faculty and students are welcome to attend!
