Title:Norm of Polynomials with Restricted Coefficients
Presenter: Professor Stephen Choi (Simon Fraser University)
Date & Time: December 6, 2025, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Venue: Room 1420, Huiwen Building
Abstract: In this talk, we will explore polynomials with restricted coefficients, focusing particularly on Littlewood polynomials, which are defined as polynomials that have coefficients of either +1 or -1. We will discuss various problems and results related to the norms of these Littlewood polynomials. In addition, we will cover recent developments regarding the autocorrelations of Rudin-Shapiro polynomials and their generalizations.
Speaker Biography: Stephen Choi, Professor of Mathematics at Simon Fraser University, Canada. His primary research lies in number theory, with significant contributions in Diophantine approximation, Diophantine equations, the Wallin-Goldbach problem, and polynomials with restricted coefficients. He has published nearly 50 papers in journals including the Transactions of the American Mathematical Society.
All faculty and students are cordially invited to attend!
