Title:The second moment of spinor L-functions for Sp(4)
Speaker:Shengji Liu, Professor (Washington State University)
Time:10:00-11:00, Apr. 7, 2026
Location:Huiwen Building 2433
Abstract:Given a Siegel modular form for SP(4,Z), one can associate it with a spinor (degree 4) L-function. The first and second moments of the spinor L-functions, weighted by the “harmonic weight”, were studied by Kowalski-Saha-Tsimerman and Blomer. In this talk, we will review their results and discuss an upper bound for the second moment of the spinor L-functions with a different weight.
Speaker Profile:Shengji Liu is a professor at Washington State University. His research focuses on number theory, and his work has been published in journals such as Mathematische Annalen, American Journal of Mathematics, International Mathematics Research Notices, and Compositio Mathematica.
Faculty and students are welcome to attend!
