报告内容:One of the most important open problems in mathematics is the Unitary Dual Problem: given a group, classify its irreducible unitary representations. The most common approach to classifying unitary representations is to study representations admitting non-degenerate invariant Hermitian forms (these are classified), compute the signatures of the forms, and then determine when the forms are definite. I will discuss signature character formulas for representations admitting non-degenerate invariant Hermitian forms in Category O. Some of the material covered in this talk is joint work with Justin Lariviere. In this talk, I will give a survey on special types of homogeneous (pseudo-)Riemannian manifolds, such as homogeneous Einstein manifolds, geodesic orbit spaces, and pseudo-Riemannian weakly symmetric spaces.
报告人简历: Wai Ling Yee是加拿大Windsor大学教授。她博士毕业于麻省理工学院,是Vogan教授的学生。主要研究兴趣为李群酉表示分类问题,在不可约最高权表示的不变Hermitian型问题上做出重要贡献。
