From April 10 to 11, the Dean of School of Mathematical Sciences of Shenzhen University led a delegation to visit the School of Mathematics and Statistics of Shaoguan University, engaging in discussions on the current development and future plans of the disciplines. Participants included Deng Chunlin (Secretary of the Party Committee), Song Jie (Dean), and Luo Liang (Deputy Dean) of Mathematics and Statistics of Shaoguan University, as well as the Dean and Han Yu(Deputy Dean) of School of Mathematical Sciences of Shenzhen University.  

Secretary Deng Chunlin warmly welcomed the delegation and highlighted the foundational status of mathematics and statistics disciplines at Shaoguan University. Dean Song Jie provided a basic introduction to the college's disciplinary construction. The Dean of School of Mathematical Sciences of Shenzhen University reported on the latest advancements in mathematics discipline construction. Deputy Dean Han Yu shared insights into the development of internship bases.

Subsequently, Sun Zongliang, Director of the Basic Mathematics Department, and He Haijin, Deputy Director of the Statistics and Data Science Department, respectively introduced Shenzhen University's experience in cultivating top mathematics talents and the curriculum setup, faculty, and research achievements of the Applied Statistics master's program. Finally, in-depth exchanges were conducted on curriculum setup, faculty team, and teaching reform in the talent cultivation process.

This exchange activity not only promoted the friendship between the two colleges but also provided a cooperation opportunity for the two universities in the construction of mathematics and statistics disciplines.
