To further promote the construction of primary-level Party organizations and enhance the performance capabilities of Party branch secretaries, on the afternoon of September 26, the School of Mathematical Sciences specially invited Professor Zhang Weifeng to host a symposium on Party building work in the mathematics discipline. Professor Zhang is the Director of the second batch of "Double Leaders" Teacher Party Branch Secretary Studio of the Ministry of Education, and also affiliated with the School of Mathematics and Informatics and the School of Software of South China Agricultural University. Secretary of the School Party Committee Wang Yu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Ye Xing, Vice Dean Zhao Yi, all Party Branch Secretaries, Party building organizers, and Party affairs secretaries attended the meeting.  

With the theme of "Strengthening the Guidance of 'Double Leaders' and Enhancing the Effectiveness of Fostering Virtue Through Education", Professor Zhang Weifeng combined the establishment process and construction experience of his Party branch being selected into the "Double Leaders" Studio of the Ministry of Education, and systematically shared insights from multiple dimensions, including policy background, application process, organizational structure, activity implementation, and achievement consolidation. He elaborated on characteristic practices such as the "'One Body, Two Wings' studio management mechanism", the model of "promoting all-round, whole-process, and all-staff education through Party building", and the "'Five Heart-Connecting' Party member education and management". These practices vividly demonstrated how teacher Party branches play a vanguard role in the integrated promotion of Party building and professional work.  

During the exchange session, Professor Zhang Weifeng conducted in-depth discussions with the participating Party branch secretaries on practical issues such as "how to mobilize the enthusiasm of Party members to participate", "paths for in-depth integration of Party branch construction and professional development", and "the two-way guidance mechanism of 'Double Leaders'". He emphasized that Party branch secretaries must be both politically competent and professionally proficient, and truly achieve "strong Party building and strong professional work" through system guarantees, platform construction, and activity innovation.  

Wang Yu emphasized that Professor Zhang Weifeng's experience sharing has both theoretical height and practical depth, providing a referenceable and promotable construction model for all branches of the school. The key to doing a good job in Party building is to "put one's heart into it" and "make great efforts". The thinking on Party building must be broad, and one should be good at learning from others and dare to innovate. The school will continue to strengthen the cultivation mechanism, promote the resonance of Party building work with discipline construction and talent cultivation at the same frequency, and inject red momentum into the realization of high-quality development.

This exchange symposium is an important measure for the School of Mathematical Sciences to implement the "Double Creation" work of university Party building in the new era and enhance the capabilities of primary-level Party affairs cadres. The participating Party branch secretaries all stated that they will digest and absorb advanced experiences in combination with actual work, further consolidate the construction of their branches, and help the school's various undertakings reach a new level.
