On the morning of October 11, Professor Wang Qilin, Dean of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Chongqing Jiaotong University, and his delegation visited our school for research and exchange. The meeting was held in Conference Room 2331, 3rd Floor, Office Area of Huiwen Building. The two parties conducted in-depth discussions and experience sharing on topics such as discipline construction, program construction, and faculty team construction.

The Dean, Vice Deans Han Yu and Zhao Yi of the School of Mathematical Sciences, Shenzhen University, attended the meeting and introduced the school’s development status. The Dean systematically demonstrated the achievements made by the school in the construction process from multiple aspects, including the school’s historical evolution, discipline ranking, faculty structure, research teams, talent cultivation, and employment/further study of graduates.
Wang Qilin, Dean of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Chongqing Jiaotong University, introduced his school’s measures and achievements in the construction of the systems science discipline, faculty introduction and cultivation, and teaching team construction. He stated that the school adheres to the development concept of "Everyone takes responsibility, everyone strives, everyone grows, everyone shines", implements the "Talent-Strengthening School" strategy, and promotes the high-quality development of disciplines and programs through multiple initiatives such as the "135" Talent Introduction and Cultivation Plan and the "561" Scientific Research Enhancement Plan. At present, the school’s systems science discipline has successfully obtained the doctoral degree authorization program, and has achieved a series of results in curriculum construction, research projects, and student competitions.
During the exchange session, the two parties held a lively discussion on topics including the introduction and cultivation of high-level talents, the construction of research teams, the establishment of an undergraduate-master-doctoral talent cultivation system, the organization of discipline competitions, and the cultivation of students’ innovative abilities. This research activity not only deepened the understanding between the mathematics disciplines of the two universities, but also laid a solid foundation for in-depth cooperation in scientific research collaboration, faculty exchange, and joint student cultivation in the future. Both parties stated that they will take this exchange as an opportunity to continue strengthening communication, learning from each other, and jointly promoting the high-quality development of the mathematics discipline.
