School of Mathematical Sciences at Shenzhen University Visits College of Mathematics and Statistics at Chongqing University for Research and Exchange on Party Building Work

On the afternoon of December 9, 2025, Wang Yu, Party Secretary of the School of Mathematical Sciences at Shenzhen University, and Ye Xing, Deputy Party Secretary, visited the College of Mathematics and Statistics at Chongqing University to conduct a thematic research on pathways for deep integration between grassroots Party organization development and institutional advancement in higher education institutions during the new era. Liu Weihong, Party Secretary of Chongqing University's College of Mathematics and Statistics, He Qingda, Deputy Party Secretary, and other representatives participated in the exchange.

During the meeting, both parties first provided brief introductions to their respective schools. Liu Weihong, Party Secretary of Chongqing University's College of Mathematics and Statistics, detailed the school's specific measures and considerations in strengthening Party branch functions, advancing work style development, cultivating young cadres, optimizing administrative management, and attracting and nurturing talent—all from the perspective of consolidating political foundations and fortifying organizational systems. Wang Yu, Party Secretary of our School, systematically introduced our Party building practices and distinctive achievements, focusing on in-depth explanations of topics including high-level talent recruitment, development of full-time faculty Party members, and the implementation outcomes of the “One Integration, Two Highs” initiative.

During the thematic discussion session, the deputy secretaries of both Party committees engaged in dialogue centered on frontline student development work. Ye Xing, Deputy Secretary of our School's Party Committee, and He Qingda, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Chongqing University's College of Mathematics and Statistics, exchanged practices and experiences on building academic support systems, deepening mental health education, and establishing collaborative mechanisms to fulfill the fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education. Participants also conducted pragmatic discussions on topics of mutual concern, including attracting high-level talents to join the Party organization, invigorating Party branches, and optimizing the development process for student Party members.

This research visit established a valuable platform for mutual learning and exchange between the two colleges. Both parties agreed to seize this opportunity to maintain regular communication going forward, actively share beneficial experiences in areas such as Party-building-led disciplinary development and innovative talent cultivation models, and jointly explore effective pathways for achieving high-quality development in their respective colleges.
